Jesse Hensel was born in Bethel, Alaska, and grew up in Fairbanks. Jesse Hensel has studied art in Alaska, Italy, New York and California. He received a Masters of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2008. Jesse Hensel works primarilly with handtools and windfalls.
